Construction Processes
16/07/2018
When you are embarking on a construction project be it residential or commercial and you engage your builder, in the initial stages of consultation they should outline their Construction Processes.
They should look something like this…
Initial Consultation – Builder should meet with you personally and work through your visions, needs and requirements.
Preliminary Estimate – Let them put it down onto paper for you where they look at the plans and provide you with an estimate of what your project may cost.
Cost Planning/Fixed Cost Quotation – Let them look at the costing of the project and deliver to you for review and approval.
Project Scheduling – They should work on time frames of each and every element of the project and deliver to you a detailed outline of how long your project is likely to take.
Building Contracts and Approvals – Your Builder should explain and guide you through this process seamlessly.
Quality Assurance – A strong builder prides themselves on their product along with strong Health and Safety methods, and will assure you that your project will always comply with the Australian Building Standards.
Product Knowledge – Most reputable builders have long standing relationships with their suppliers and have up to date product knowledge of the best products available on the market today, ensuring you get value for money.
Project and Construction Management – Builders who have many years’ experience within the industry, pride themselves on clear communication and delivery of results. You should be assured your project will be managed as if it were their own.
Handover – Final inspection, briefing on all systems and quality control should lead to a final and effortless handover.
